This is the world under Koch: truth dies, lies rule, and people surrender their minds.

2. THEME STATED

Someone (Maya, Adam, or even Ruby) says something that frames the entire book:

“If people can’t see truth, they’ll follow whoever speaks loudest.” or “A world that worships Celebs can’t stay free.”

This is the ideological spine of the novel.

3. SET‑UP

We see Juan’s life:

• filming atrocities

• surviving on instinct and pills

• Ruby as his only companion

• platoons dying around him

• Koch’s propaganda erasing everything he broadcasts

• Ellison’s army sweeping the Midwest

• Celebs becoming hypnotic “moral authorities”

This is a false victory — because it leads directly to Juan’s worst mistake.

This is Juan’s moral death.

11. DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL

The gangs confront him. Adam tells him he endangered everything. Maya is devastated. The coalition fractures. Juan realizes:

“I became the thing I fight.”

He is alone again — emotionally, spiritually, morally.

13. FINALE

Sanctuary Six becomes the final battleground.

Juan dies laughing. The gangs die laughing. Koch dies screaming.

14. FINAL IMAGE

Three months later:

Sanctuary Six erects statues of:

• Koch

• Kosmic

• Plumage

Children climb on them, laughing.

Juan and the gangs are erased from history.

Maya walks past the statues carrying the archive.

She whispers:

“They lost the truth. But I didn’t.”

She walks into the horizon — the last witness.
